"A 1955 report by the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities claimed that "teaching the arts has a significant effect on overall success in school,' and noted that both verbal and quantitative SAT scores are higher for high school students who take art courses than for those who take none..."

Concepts and Ideas:

-Art CAN improve academic performance

-Teaches important skills (Color Theory, Problem-Solving, Critical Thinking, Time Management, Critiquing/Making Improvements.)

-Helps with stress and improves mental health (Let that creativity be free!)

-Builds community (Creating art for others, learning about different mediums, collaborating with classmates through projects or bouncing ideas off each other.)

-Expresses thoughts and feelings (YOU might not even realize you might be feeling.)

-Gives Students a chance to create without boundaries or judgment, purely self-indulgent. 

-Makes children inspired and excited about what they're doing/creating.
